Operating in Nipigon since July 2012, Nipigon’s Bargain! Shop strives to provide friendly service and a helpful staff that brings out the family feeling at your local store.

Corporate History…
Red Apple Stores Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of BlackRock Kelso Capital Corp, operates a chain of 165 corporately-owned value retail stores, under The Bargain! Shop and Red Apple banners. Headquartered in Mississauga, The Bargain! Shop and Red Apple stores have proudly served Canadians in neighbourhoods and small communities across Canada for more than 20 years. Our longstanding heritage of friendly service, warm store environment and neighbourhood connection are the foundation of our business. Our general merchandise stores provide a selection of fashion and footwear for the whole family, home, food, health & beauty and everyday essentials, all at great value prices.

Did you know…
The Bargain! Shop originated as a closeout store division of Woolworth Canada, developed out of some of the bankrupt assets of Bargain Harold’s in 1991. The chain grew since then, acquiring and converting Woolco Stores, eventually changing ownership and gaining more store front in 2008 from former SAAN locations.

Ron and Zack’s Story…
Originally from Toronto, Manager Ron Cheetham and his better half Zack Dampier (Nipigonite) sold the farm and condo down south and migrated back to Zacks hometown a few years ago. Upon arrival they both became active members in the community whether working with the farmers market, Zack serving on both the library and hospital boards, as well as being the lead working towards the acquisition and restoration of the over a hundred year old historical Ukrainian Catholic Church. They are both quite passionate at giving back to the community!

Sunday 10:00am to 6:00pm
